Benefits of Omega 3:

1. #Cardiovascular Health: Many studies have shown that Omega-3s contribute to better heart health. "The strongest evidence for a beneficial effect of omega-3 fats has to do with heart disease. 2. #Child #Development: Omega-3 fatty acids are important for brain development of the in utero and growing child. Higher IQs in children have been linked to higher amounts of omega-3 fatty acids consumed during their mother’s pregnancy. A study of 500 children found that those low in omega-3 fatty acids had more trouble reading.

3. #Dementia and #Brainhealth: The American #Nutrition Society has conducted 3 studies on the elderly that show evidence that omega-3 fatty acids could help prevent dementia because dementia is linked to cardiovascular health. Omega-3s are linked to bigger, healthier brains that bode well for the aging body.

It showed that making sure they have adequate omega-3s in their diet can help prevent excessive anxiety.  Similarly, expectant mothers who consumed more Omega-3's during their pregnancy reported far less anxiety than those who consumed less.

Omega-3s are commonly associated with seafood but there are a lot of plantbased sources like walnuts, Hemp hearts, chia seeds & leafy greens. It's extremely important to eat a well-balanced, nutrient-rich diet that's high in omega-3s for a healthy heart & a calm mind giving your body and mind balance for optimum health!
