Ulcer Healing Juice

Ulcer Healing Juice

1 Head Cabbage
5 Carrots
5 Stalks Celery
1 Cucumber
1 Green Apple
1 Bunch Parsley

Ulcer Healing Juice is made cold pressed! Cabbage juice is a long-standing home remedy for peptic ulcers. Multiple medical studies have found that raw cabbage juice, consumed daily by patients with ulcers, provided almost immediate relief from the symptoms and that healing time was a lot shorter than those who didn't use cabbage juice.

Cabbage juice contains powerful substances  including L-glutamine, S-methylmethionine, glucosinolates and gefarnate which protect and help heal the mucous membranes lining of your stomach and digestive tract.

Cabbage juice is rich in the amino acid glutamine. Glutamine nourishes and repairs the gastrointestinal lining.  Juiced cabbage also contains gefarnate, a substance that protects the lining of your stomach from damage. Gefarnate has been isolated and used as a pharmaceutical treatment, but making your own cabbage juice is a safer way to get a large dose of it for ulcers and other digestive disorders.

The combination of Cabbage and the other ingredients in this juice create an Ulcer Healing and symptom Relief Juice that if taken daily by Ulcer sufferers can work the same as most antacids on the market as well as aid in the rapid healing of the Ulcer and stomach lining.

(If the taste of the juice isn't your favorite add Pear or Pineapple to the juice for a sweet delightful taste!)

Benefits of Strawberries

Benefits of Strawberries

1. Vitamins and Nutrients

Strawberries are an excellent source of antioxidant-promoting vitamin C and manganese. They are also a very good source of dietary fiber, iodine and folate. Strawberries are a good source of copper, potassium, biotin, phosphorus, magnesium, vitamin B6 and omega-3 fatty acids.

2. Cardiovascular Health

The rich antioxidant and anti-inflammatory content of strawberries has impressive cardiovascular benefits. Research on the antioxidant content of strawberries is providing us with evidence of decreased lipid peroxidation in our blood vessel linings following the consumption of Strawberries and less malondialdehyde formation as well increasing blood circulation. Strawberry intake has also been shown to result in better free radical eradication.

3. Vision Health

Antioxidants such as flavonoids, phenolic phytochemicals, and elagic acid, all of which are present in strawberries, can help prevent and reverse the affects that harmful oxidants or free radicals can cause on our eyes, such as excessively dry eyes, degeneration of the optical nerves, macular degeneration, vision defects and increased susceptibility to infections as well. Strawberries can also fix issues with ocular pressure, meaning the pressure within the eyes. Any disturbance in this pressure can be very harmful for the eyes. Strawberries contain potassium, which helps to maintain the correct pressure.

4. Immune System

The immune system is our body’s first line of defense against infections, microbial action, and a wide variety of other diseases and dangerous conditions. Vitamin C helps to boost the immune system and has long been known to be a helpful cure for common colds and coughs. The high amount of Vitamin C in Strawberries stimulates the activity of white blood cells, which is the body’s first line of defense against toxins and foreign bodies. Being an antioxidant, Vitamin C also neutralizes free radicals, the harmful byproducts of cellular metabolism that are constantly created in our body. These free radicals are responsible for mutating the DNA of healthy cells into sick or cancerous cells, and are responsible for a number of diseases, like heart disease and multiple forms cancers.

5. High Blood Pressure

Strawberries are rich in potassium and magnesium content, which are effective in lowering high blood pressure. Potassium reduces hypertension and the rigidity of arteries and blood vessels, thereby easing the flow of blood to various parts of the body and lowering blood pressure by oxygenating them and keeping them functioning at their full potential.

Strawberries are beneficial for the prevention of cancer, improving heart health and boosting the immune system support as well as providing the body with an aggressive amount of antioxidants, vitamins and nutrients it needs to maintain full body wellness!  Strawberries brighten up salads, sweeten up desserts and are simply delicious on their own!

Butternut Brussels Quinoa

Butternut Brussels Quinoa

Prep: 2 cups cooked Quinoa

1 cup Finely Chopped Brussels Sprouts

2 cups Cubed Butternut Squash

1 tbsp Minced Garlic

1 tbsp Diced Shallot

1 tbsp Thyme

1/2 cup Pomegranate

Cooking options:

Heat a pan -

- spray it with a cooking spray

- coat with 1 tbsp Avocado Seed Oil

- add 1 inch of water and bring it to a boil

Add Brussels Sprouts and Butternut Squash and cover for 1 minute then stir and cover for another minute.  Stir in Garlic, Shallots and Thyme and cover for 2 minute. Add Quinoa and mix well! Mix in pomegranate right before you serve!

The 3 options for cooking give you the choice of adding a chemical, an oil carcinogen or a natural steam to the dish. No matter which way of cooking it you choose the dish will turn out the same except only one of the ways of cooking adds zero negatives to the dish. If you can, I would always go with the steam fry but once in a while cooking in the other styles won't kill you. Knowing you have the options and you have the choice always makes the healthy choice the easy one for me!

Benefits of Peaches

Benefits of Peaches

1. Vision Health

Peaches contain a good amount of the antioxidant Beta-carotene which is responsible for eye health along with vitamins A and C. The beta-carotene also nourishes and protects the retinas in your eyes from free radical damage, and helps to prevent cataracts and age-related macular degeneration.

2. Cardiovascular Health

Antioxidants in peaches benefit your heart by destroying free radicals that create chain reactions within your body that can damage or kill cells. The bio-active compounds in Peaches help fight metabolic syndrome, a combination of risk factors that causes inflammation, obesity and heart problems.

3. Circulation

There are a lot of nutrients in peaches that promote cardiovascular health and improve circulation by reducing cholesterol levels and increasing blood flow to the heart. Regular consumption of peaches will help protect you from heart attacks and strokes.

4. Cholesterol

Peaches contain phenolic compounds that prevent the oxidization of low-density lipoprotein, or LDL, cholesterol. The high amount of beta-carotene in peaches are good for lowering the cholesterol level in the blood stream.

5. Cancer

Rich with antioxidants that help prevent cancerous cell growth. Peaches are known especially for effectively protecting the body against lung, colon and oral cancers. The phenolic acids, known as chlorogenic and neochlorogenic acid, in peaches appear to stop breast cancer cell lines from growing without damaging normal cells.

Another fruit that's nutritionally delicious and it just so happens that Peach season (march) has sprung itself on us!  Peaches are a wonderful fast snack, a sweet addition to any acai bowl or smoothie and make for an amazing cobbler.

Dehydrated Fruits!

Dried Fruit is a fantastic healthy and naturally sweet snack but it's another victim of the food industry!  Most dried fruits have added sugar and they use Sulfur Dioxide as a preservative.  Sulfur dioxide exposure can be very harmful, even deadly to asthma sufferers and those with sulfite allergies or sensitivities, and is a toxic and dangerous chemical to both our bodies and the environment.

Invest in a dehydrator and feed your loved ones natures candy!  The possibilities of what you can safely make are endless and naturally delicious!
